A customer from last summer contacted us to stain his cedar shed. Last year we painted a small barn on his property this year a beautiful red cedar shed. The customer chose to clean the shed himself and did a great job but we always recommend using a good quality stripper to remove any old stain. You can purchase stripper made for stripping stain off decks and sheds at your local paint store. We then also recommend using a high quality cleaner brighten on the wood as well. Prior to staining the shed we moisture test and ensure the moisture level is below 15%. You can then brush,roll or spray and back roll or back brush a nice even coat of stain.
